About - Palestinian Genocide Victims

Tweet by Khalil, a Palestinian currrently located in Gaza, on October 28. The last line reads "I am not a number. I am a complete planet".
The state of Israel’s war and current campaign of violence on Gaza has killed more than 9,000 Palestinians in the last 25 days. More than 3,500 of those killed were children under the age of 18. There are countless others who are wounded, displaced, starved of their basic human rights, and still stuck under the rubble of destruction. The full scale of Palestinian lives lost at the hands of Israeli occupation and violence is not yet fully known.
This campaign, however, did not begin on October 7. From 2008 to 2020 alone, the United Nations documented 5,590 Palestinian deaths, compared to 251 Israeli deaths. Gaza is widely labeled as the world’s largest open-air prison, housing more than 2 million civilians, half of whom are under the age of 18. Their entry and exit from Gaza, and access to basic resources like water and electricity, are controlled and limited by Israel, which has deprived Palestinians of basic human rights for years. Israel’s war on Gaza is an ongoing attempt to conduct a genocide against the Palestinian people.
This website contains the known names of Palestinians martyred by Israel, between October 7 and October 26, 2023. The names and data are sourced from a report published by the Palestinian Ministry of Health on October 27. The original report can be found here. Numbers from the ministry have been widely considered accurate and reliable by humanitarian organizations, including the United Nations, and by various foreign governments, including the US State Department. The ministry continues to do critical work in dire times. The method of color coding the martyrs by age is taken from a Vice Arabia post designed by George Deeb studios. All English translations of names were done through Google Translate and other online translated lists of the report. Any fault in these translations (there are likely some) are my own and you can send them to me @emmadmazhari.
